Wally – the founding pastor of Calvary Green Valley Ranch – stepped down from his role as Sr. Pastor in January 2023, but has agreed to remain on as a board member during the transition time.

Wally began serving as a full-time youth pastor on staff at Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, CA in 1986. Wally and his wife Michelle faithfully served the youth there until the Lord called them to Colorado in 2004. After fellowshipping at Calvary Chapel Aurora for a time, Wally joined the staff as a full-time assistant pastor in the fall of 2006.

The Lord began stirring Wally and put the community of Green Valley Ranch on his heart in summer of 2008, but it wasn’t until the fall of 2009 that He called Wally and Michelle out from Calvary Aurora to plant a church here. On October 29th, 2009, Calvary Green Valley Ranch began as a worship and prayer meeting, and shortly thereafter CGVR had our first Sunday morning service on December 6th, 2009.

Wally and Michelle have been married for over 40 years and have two daughters – Katie who has two young children Kira and Kamry in Nashville Tenn., and Kelly who is married to Lawrence Williams who lives here in Denver Colorado. Wally also has two kids from a previous marriage before coming to the Lord, Brad and Tonette who both live in Las Vegas. Brad has two kids and Tonette has five.
