At nearly 71 years old, to try to list accomplishments would be exhausting (for me), so to paraphrase:
I received Christ as a young boy but committed fully to Him in 1971 during the Jesus movement. I have been married to my lovely wife for nearly 52 years (there is a God!), and have 2 amazing sons, a bunch of grand-kids and 2 great-grandchildren (that should qualify me for something). Okay that’s over, now –
I, along with my wife Connie, have been involved in and pioneered multiple ministries over the years both here in the states and abroad, in the military, in multiple churches and alongside many incredible brethren. In all this after these many years I have learned the following:
“Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant . . .” 2Cor.3:5-6a
“For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God . . . Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1Cor.1:26-29&31b
