WHY PRAYER?
As Jesus quoted Isaiah in Matthew 21:13 “My house shall be called a house of Prayer”, we understand that there is no more powerful work that we can participate in than prayer. This fellowship began through the ministry of prayer, and God has accomplished so many things through this means.
As Oswald Champers quoted “Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work”. Philippians 4:6-7 says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
We have an email ministry here at Calvary Chapel GVR where prayer requests are sent to a group of believers who faithfully pray over these requests. Praise reports are also circulated in the same way, offering those involved in this ministry to rejoice with those who rejoice, and even weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15).
